Asphalt paving, surfacing, repair, and striping for commercial, industrial, public, and residential properties across Los Angeles. Our own crews and equipment, out of Carson.
Quality Grading & Paving is a licensed paving and asphalt contractor serving Los Angeles since 1993 (Lic. #643034, A, B, C-12, C-21, C-36). We handle asphalt paving, surfacing and resurfacing, repair, sealcoating, striping, and grading for commercial, industrial, public, and residential properties, with our own crews and equipment. As of October 2026, overlay typically runs $3.25–$8 per sq ft and full replacement $7–$14 per sq ft; every job is quoted in writing after a free site visit.
From warehouse yards in the Harbor area to retail lots and apartment driveways, we handle the full range of Los Angeles paving work.
Shopping centers, offices, restaurants, and medical buildings. Repaving, repair, sealing, and ADA striping, phased or scheduled after hours so the business stays open.
Truck courts, yards, and dock aprons in Harbor Gateway, Wilmington, and South LA, with heavy-duty asphalt sections built for loaded trucks.
Shared lots and drive aisles for apartment buildings, HOAs, schools, and churches. Phased work to keep access open, then fresh striping and numbering.
DIR-registered and prevailing-wage compliant. We bid public paving work and serve as the paving and grading subcontractor for general contractors.
Resurface or fully replace worn driveways. We fix the base and slope so water drains away from the house, then seal to protect it.
Building pads, rough and fine grading, compaction, and drainage under our C-12 and C-21 licenses, so the pavement on top lasts.
We don't sub out the work. QGP crews handle grading through final striping, so you have one point of contact from estimate to finished surface.
Asphalt surfacing builds a new surface from the ground up: grading, base, and paving. Resurfacing puts a new layer over pavement that still has a sound base, usually at about half the cost. If the base has failed, an overlay won't last, and we'll tell you so before you spend the money.
Paving on private property usually doesn't need a City permit unless it involves grading or drainage changes. Work in the public right-of-way, like driveway approaches, curb cuts, and sidewalks, is permitted through the City of LA Bureau of Engineering. Unincorporated areas go through LA County Public Works. We handle the permits for our work.
Public Works & Prevailing Wage →Typical installed prices as of October 2026. Small jobs price toward the high end; large lots toward the low end. Your written quote is based on a site visit.
| Service | Typical Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Resurfacing (overlay) | $3.25–$8 / sq ft | When the base is still sound |
| Full replacement | $7–$14 / sq ft | Remove, fix base, repave |
| Sealcoating | $0.55–$2.25 / sq ft | Every 2–4 years |
| Crack filling | $1–$3 / linear ft | Hot-applied; done before sealcoat |
| Line striping | $0.30–$0.70 / linear ft | ADA, symbols & stencils per item |
Faded lines and missing ADA markings are a liability. We lay out and stripe stalls, ADA accessible spaces with access aisles and signage, fire lanes, arrows, and numbering to current code, usually right after sealcoating so the lot is finished in one visit.
Because we pave and seal too, we can fix the surface before we stripe it. Fresh paint on broken asphalt doesn't last.
